Job Overview

We are seeking a qualified Vietnamese Primary Teacher to teach Mathematics and Science aligned with the Cambridge Primary Curriculum, preparing students for the Cambridge Checkpoint Examinations. The ideal candidate is passionate about primary education, experienced in bilingual or international programs, and capable of delivering engaging, concept-based lessons in English.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Learning

  • Deliver Math and Science lessons based on the Cambridge Primary Framework (Stages 36).
  • Prepare students for Cambridge Checkpoint assessments through structured lessons, practice tasks, and mock tests.
  • Design lesson plans, worksheets, experiments, and assessments aligned with learning objectives.
  • Apply student-centered teaching methods to develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and scientific inquiry skills.
  • Use English as the main language of instruction (with appropriate support where needed).

Assessment & Academic Support

  • Assess student progress using formative and summative assessments.
  • Provide detailed feedback to students and parents.
  • Maintain accurate academic records, reports, and portfolios.
  • Support students with varying proficiency levels through differentiation.

Professional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with Academic Coordinators and fellow teachers on curriculum planning.
  • Participate in training, observations, meetings, and professional development activities.
  • Contribute to school events, academic projects, and internal exams.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Primary Education, Mathematics, Science, or related fields
  • Teaching certification is an advantage (e.g. PGCE, TESOL, or equivalent)
  • Familiarity with Cambridge Assessment International Education curriculum is strongly preferred

Experience

  • Minimum 12 years of teaching experience at primary level
  • Experience teaching Cambridge / International / Bilingual programs is a strong advantage
  • Experience preparing students for Cambridge Checkpoint is highly preferred

  • Strong subject knowledge in Primary Math and Science
  • Good command of English (spoken and written)
