Patching Compliance:Ensure full and timely patching coverage for all UK/NA server infrastructure according to security policies.
Urgent Remediation:Rapidly investigate and fix high-priority threats, including Zero-Day and out-of-band vulnerabilities.
Tool Management:Manage and enforce patching policies using the organizational management platform (e.g., Automox).
Coverage Assurance:Monitor agent deployment and manually resolve patching failures or coverage gaps across the environment.
Communication:Coordinate testing and required downtime with stakeholders across the business.
Record Keeping:Maintain accurate documentation of all patching activities and remediation reports.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Communication: An intermediate level of English (both written and verbal) is essential for technical reporting and effective stakeholder communication.
Experience Level: 1-3 years of experience in System Administration, Security Operations (SecOps), or a dedicated Vulnerability/Patch Management role.
OS Administration: Experience in troubleshooting and administering Windows Server and/or Linux.
Patching Tools: Hands-on experience using an enterprise patch management platform (e.g., Automox, SCCM, Ansible) for deployment and policy management.
Vulnerability Basics: Fundamental understanding of security vulnerabilities (CVEs), severity ratings, and patch cycles.
Troubleshooting: Ability to investigate and fix issues that prevent successful software or security updates.
