Job Description

Video Production Intern

Origin Movement Company Limited | Hanoi, Vietnam | On-site | 36 Months

This Is a Professional Evaluation Period

At Origin Movement, internships are not academic formalities. This program functions as a structured evaluation phase for potential long-term team members. We prioritize internal growth over external hiring. Strong performance during the internship can lead to a full-time position within the company. We are not looking for temporary assistance. We are identifying future collaborators.

About Origin Movement

Origin Movement is a commercial video production house producing TVCs, branded films, music videos, and cinematic campaigns for hospitality, automotive, luxury, and lifestyle brands. Our work demands visual discipline, narrative clarity, and high execution standards. We operate in real production conditions with real expectations.

Role Overview

This internship is designed for individuals who want to pursue a serious career in Creative Development or Cinematography. Interns are integrated into real workflows across pre-production, production, and post-production. Responsibilities are assigned based on capability, growth, and professional attitude. You are expected to contribute, observe carefully, and improve consistently.

Responsibilities

Pre-Production: Assist in structured concept research and visual development; support treatment and proposal deck preparation; break down scripts into production-ready components; participate in shot planning and moodboard development.

Production: Support camera and lighting setup; assist with equipment preparation and organization; maintain on-set discipline and situational awareness; observe professional communication flow and decision-making. Production environments can be physically demanding and schedule-intensive.

Post-Production: Assist with footage organization and workflow management; support rough assembly editing; observe color grading direction and delivery standards.

What We Expect

We are recruiting individuals who want to grow seriously in either Creative Development or Cinematography. You should demonstrate a foundational understanding of visual storytelling, basic working knowledge of Premiere Pro, familiarity with camera fundamentals including exposure, frame rate, shutter, and composition, and an eye for framing, lighting, and rhythm.

For Creative-oriented applicants: You should show visual taste, reference awareness, and the ability to analyze why something works, not just that it looks good. Structured thinking and clarity in presentation are highly valued.

For Cinematography-oriented applicants: You should understand how light shapes mood, how lenses influence perception, and how composition communicates emotion. Technical perfection is not required, but awareness and intention are essential.

Across all applicants, we expect professional discipline, punctuality, physical readiness for production environments, the ability to receive direct feedback without defensiveness, and consistent commitment to improvement.

Long-Term Opportunity

At the end of the internship period, high-performing candidates may be considered for full-time roles within Origin Movement, including Creative Executive, Assistant Director, Production Executive, Junior Cinematographer, or Junior Editor. Selection is based on performance, reliability, growth rate, and professional alignment. We hire carefully and promote from within whenever possible.

Compensation

This is a mentorship-focused internship. Interns receive a monthly allowance to support transportation and essential expenses. This is not a salaried position. However, if during the internship you demonstrate the capability to take on responsibilities within commercial projects, you may be assigned to paid production roles based on the level of responsibility you are able to handle. Compensation for commercial assignments will correspond to the position and scope of work you are qualified to undertake. This internship is both an opportunity and a test. If you are able to operate at a professional level, you will be treated accordingly.
