We're looking for a short-form video editor who knows how to keep people watching. This isn't long-form YouTube. This is fast cuts, strong pacing, clean captions, and edits that earn retention.
What You'll Do:
- Edit Instagram Reels, TikToks, and YouTube Shorts
- Turn raw talking-head footage into scroll-stopping content
- Add captions, b-roll, jump cuts, zooms, and subtle motion where it actually helps
- Edit for retention, clarity, and emotion (not over-editing for the sake of it)
- Iterate quickly based on feedback and performance
You're a Fit If You:
- Understand short-form psychology (first 2 seconds matter most)
- Know how to edit for watch time, not just aesthetics
- Are strong with captions (clean, readable, timed well)
- Can make talking-head videos feel dynamic and engaging
- Move fast and don't take feedback personally
Requirements
- Experience editing Reels / TikToks / Shorts
- Ability to hit quick turnaround times
- Strong sense of pacing and rhythm
- Clean, modern editing style
Bonus (Nice to Have):
- Experience editing founder-led or educational content
- Familiar with viral formats and trends (without chasing every one)
- Understanding of hooks, storytelling, and CTA moments
