Job Responsibilities
Mizuho Bank, Ltd. Hanoi Branch is seeking an experienced Manager, Project Delivery & Quality Assurance (QA) to lead the Project Delivery and QA Team within the IT Department. In this role, you will oversee end-to-end delivery across project management, business analysis, and quality assurance / quality control (QA/QC) - ensuring IT initiatives are well planned, delivered on time, aligned to business needs, and compliant with internal quality and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead branch-wide IT project delivery from initiation through implementation, coordinating stakeholders to ensure smooth execution and measurable outcomes.
- Partner with project managers, business owners, and external vendors to define project scope, deliverables, timelines and resource plan.
- Manage and develop the team, providing clear direction, coaching and mentorship to build high performance and strong delivery discipline. Own quality assurance / quality control across the project lifecycle, review deliverables, drive test strategy and execution (system, integration, UAT), and ensure adherence to internal policies and regulatory expectations.
- Oversee planning and delivery to keep projects aligned with business objectives, timelines, budgets, and resource capacity.
- Establish and embed delivery standards and best practices, tailoring methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall to fit project needs and governance requirements.
- Act as a central point of contact between business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors to enable effective communication, collaboration and time decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.
- Drive business analysis excellence by facilitating requirements workshops, process mapping, gap analysis, and producing clear, actionable documentation. Proactively manage risks and issues, tracking progress, removing blockers, and implementing mitigation plan to ensure successful outcomes.
- Report progress with impact - prepare and present regular project updates, performance metrics, and risk summaries to the IT Head, APAC and Management.
- Coordinate go-live readiness and post-implementation follow-up, ensuring operational handover, stabilization, and continuous improvement.
- Maintain strong governance audit-ready documentation, including project reporting, controls evidence, and decision logs.
- Champion a culture of collaboration, accountability, and quality, setting clear expectations and raising standards across delivery within the team.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- 15+ years of experience in IT project delivery, implementation, QA/QC, or related areas.
- 5+ years in people management and/or project leadership roles.
- Experience in banking or financial services is preferred.
- Strong English communication skills (written and verbal).
- PMP / PRINCE2 /PfMP (or equivalent) certification is an advantage.
