About the Role
You will be a member of the VFX team, supporting Senior/Lead artists in creating and implementing real-time visual effects for mobile/PC titles. This role is suited for someone building their technical foundation and looking to grow within the game industry.
Responsibilities
- Create particle effects and VFX prefabs in Unity (URP/HDRP) under Lead direction
- Implement effects into gameplay: skills, projectiles, hit reactions, environment ambience
- Maintain and iterate assets based on feedback from Art Director/Lead VFX
- Collaborate with Game Design and Tech Art to stay within performance budgets
- Organize and name assets according to pipeline standards
- Maintain basic technical documentation related to VFX
Requirements
- Degree in Multimedia, Graphic Design, Animation, or related field
- Personal portfolio demonstrating real-time effects (Unity or Unreal)
- Solid understanding of the 12 Principles of Animation applied to VFX — timing, spacing, anticipation, follow through, and secondary motion must be clearly evident in portfolio work
- Proficient in at least one of: 3D software (Maya, Blender, Cinema 4D) for animation/simulation, or After Effects for motion graphics and VFX clip production
- Basic knowledge of Unity Particle System or VFX Graph
- Familiarity with Shader Graph / material editor concepts
- Understanding of performance optimization: overdraw, texture compression, draw calls
- Strong artistic sensibility: timing, color, reference reading
- Proficient in English
Nice to Have
- Hands-on experience with HLSL/ShaderLab
- Familiarity with Houdini (simulation / flipbook baking)
- Mobile VFX experience (WebGL, low-end targets)
- Version control experience (Git/Perforce)
