Job Description

ABOUT US

  • Our vision is to create a universe where everyone has the opportunity to unlock their full potential and thrive in the Future of Work.
  • Our mission is to bridge the gap between traditional learning and employment through AI-powered upskilling and reskilling solutions that make learning practical, personalized, and work-relevant.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is not a coffee-fetching internship, and definitely not for the fainted heart. As a Venture & Corporate Development Intern (CEO Office), you will work directly with the Founder/CEO on two critical workstreams:

  • Capital Strategy seed round design, cap table scenarios, investor scouting, process and documentation.
  • Strategic Partnerships & Pilot Execution especially our high-potential collaboration with global partners and other VCs/CVCs in Vietnam, Singapore, and the across APAC.

You'll be in the room where decisions are made: investor research, investment memos, monthly investor updates, data room, and pilot tracking. Expect a steep learning curve, lots of context, and real responsibility.

SCOPE OF WORK

A. Capital Strategy & Fundraising

  • Support the CEO in designing and maintaining the cap table, scenario analysis for different investor mixes (VC, CVC, angels).
  • Assist in preparation of fundraising materials:
  • Credential / teaser decks, full pitch decks, one-pagers, data snapshots.
  • Help structure and maintain the data room: financials, product docs, traction, legal docs.
  • Conduct desktop research on comparable companies, market sizing, and valuation benchmarks in EdTech, HRTech, and Workforce Development.

B. Investor Research, Selection & Due Diligence Support

  • Map and maintain a target list of investors (VC, CVC, angels, family offices) across Vietnam, Singapore, Japan, and beyond.
  • Perform background research on potential investors: theses, portfolio, check size, typical ownership, and strategic fit.
  • Support dealflow & pipeline tracking in CRM (or spreadsheets / Lark) including stages, next actions, and key notes.
  • Assist in preparing briefing notes before investor meetings and follow-up summaries after each call.

C. Investor Relations & Communication

  • Draft and help refine monthly investor / stakeholder updates: metrics, milestones, challenges, and upcoming priorities.
  • Assist in creating and updating investor-facing materials (presentations, FAQs, deal memos, one-pagers).
  • Coordinate scheduling, logistics, and basic documentation for investor calls, roadshows, demo sessions, and events.

D. Strategic Projects - Go Global Workstreams

  • Support the CEO in structuring and tracking the CrowdWorks pilot and related partnership initiatives:
  • Document milestones, deliverables, timelines, and responsibilities.
  • Prepare meeting agendas, notes, and follow-up tasks.
  • Conduct market and partnership research for Japan, SEA, Australia and other priority markets including comparable platforms, potential enterprise clients, and ecosystem partners.
  • Help develop internal memos and decision documents (e.g. pilot design, pricing scenarios, expansion hypotheses).

E. Operations & CEO Office Support

  • Maintain organized documentation of all fundraising and partnership activities (CRM, spreadsheets, Notion/Lark).
  • Support ad-hoc strategic and analytical tasks from competitor mapping to unit economics modelling (with guidance).
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Growth, and New Business Development interns/teams to collect data and insights needed for investor narratives.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR

We're looking for someone who quietly enjoys:

  • Capital strategy, Cap table design, Investor relations
  • and doesn't faint at the sight of a financial model.

You're an ideal fit if you:

  • Think like an investor & founder
  • Strong interest in VC / PE / investment banking / startup funding.
  • Curious about how rounds are structured, how investors think about riskreturn, and how terms shape outcomes.
  • Have strong analytical & structured thinking
  • Comfortable with numbers, Excel/Sheets; able to break a fuzzy problem into steps.
  • Communicate clearly
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English (and Vietnamese is a plus) especially in concise summaries and emails to senior stakeholders.
  • Are detail-oriented & organized
  • You enjoy clean spreadsheets, clear naming conventions, and tracking follow-ups.
  • Have a bias for action
  • You don't wait for perfect instructions; you propose options, ask smart questions, and move.
  • Have a growth mindset
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, hungry to learn, happy to iterate fast.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

  • Currently pursuing (or recently graduated from) a degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Solid skills in Excel / Google Sheets and PowerPoint / Canva; familiarity with Lark / CRM tools is a plus.
  • Strong interest in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, or startup finance (e.g. involvement in finance clubs, case competitions, VC fellowships, startup projects).
  • Able to commit at least 4 days per week for a minimum of 46 months.

WHY EDTRONAUT & WHAT YOU'LL GAIN

Our internships are designed as applied learning programs, not task lists. By the end of your internship, you can expect to:

  • Gain hands-on fundraising experience in a live seed/CVC process (not just coursework or simulations).
  • Learn how VCs and CVCs evaluate startups, structure deals, and think about ownership and control.
  • Build a portfolio of work:
  • Investor maps, research notes, sample investor updates, snippets of investment memos (where sharable).
  • Work at the intersection of AI, EdTech, HRTech, and Workforce Development, alongside pilots with global players like CrowdWorks.
  • Receive close mentorship from a founding team with proven experience across the globe.
  • Enjoy working with a young, ambitious, mostly Gen Z team, with:
  • Potential extension or future role depending on mutual fit
