JOB DESCRIPTION
We're looking for a UI Designer to build and continuously improve the Design System for Home Credit Vietnam. You'll create a scalable, reusable UI foundation that enables consistent experiences and faster delivery across products and squads.
You'll work at the bridge of design and engineering - applying atomic design principles, defining tokens and component standards, and ensuring the system is practical for implementation and measurable in impact (e.g., adoption, reuse, and UX performance signals).
Key Responsibilities
1. Design System Creation & Evolution
- Own and maintain the Home Credit Vietnam Design System in Figma (libraries, components, variables, and documentation)
- Design and evolve the system using atomic design (tokens → atoms → molecules → organisms → templates/patterns)
- Create reusable components and patterns to support product features (web/mobile), including states, variants, responsive behavior, and content rules
- Improve scalability and reusability across multiple products and use cases, reducing duplication and one-off UI solutions
- Define contribution workflows (intake, review, release notes) so squads can request and adopt new components efficiently
2. Component Quality & Consistency
- Define and manage design tokens (color, typography, spacing, elevation, motion) and ensure they are applied consistently
- Set interaction standards and component behaviors (hover/focus/disabled/loading/error, empty states, validation)
- Ensure accessibility compliance (WCAG) in component specs, including color contrast, keyboard navigation, and focus management
- Audit product UIs to identify gaps, inconsistencies, and improvement opportunities; drive remediation plans with squads
- Partner with QA/engineering to validate implemented UI against specs and prevent design drift over time
3. Design–Development Collaboration
- Work closely with engineers to translate Figma components into production-ready components (e.g., in Storybook) with clear specs and acceptance criteria
- Review and sign off on UI implementation before release; ensure alignment between design intent and shipped experience
- Support squads with component selection, usage guidance, and design reviews to increase adoption and reduce rework
- Coordinate with Product/UX Research to validate patterns and iterate when user or business needs change
4. Documentation & Governance
- Create clear usage guidelines, specs, and best practices for components and patterns (do/don't, anatomy, content, accessibility)
- Maintain naming conventions, structure, and organization within Figma libraries
- Own governance: component lifecycle (proposal → review → release → deprecation), versioning, and change communication
- Document design decisions and rationale to reduce ambiguity and improve cross-team alignment
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- 3+ years of experience in UI / Product Design
- Strong experience building and maintaining design systems or component libraries for digital products
- Good understanding of atomic design principles and system thinking (tokens, components, patterns, templates)
- Advanced proficiency in Figma (components, variants, auto layout, variables, libraries)
- Experience defining and maintaining design tokens and collaborating on handoff to engineering
- Strong attention to detail and consistency in UI execution; able to spot and resolve design drift
- Working knowledge of front-end fundamentals (HTML/CSS, responsive behavior, component states) and design-to-dev workflows (e.g., Storybook)
- Knowledge of WCAG accessibility standards and inclusive design practices
- Ability to use data/analytics (e.g., funnels, drop-offs, usability signals, A/B results) to evaluate and improve design patterns
- Strong communication skills: can document clearly, align stakeholders, and guide other designers in using the system
