Key Responsibilities
1. Treasury Design & Implementation
- Design and establish all treasury policies, procedures, and internal controls for an export operation.
- Lead the setup of all corporate bank accounts in Vietnam (for VND, USD, and other currencies).
- Implement and manage a treasury system or advanced Excel models for daily cash positioning and seasonal cash flow forecasting.
- Design and document the end-to-end payment and collections process, from farmer payments to buyer collections.
2. Banking & Trade Finance Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for all banking partners in Vietnam.
- Lead negotiations with banks to secure and manage essential trade finance facilities.
3. Cash, Liquidity & FX Risk Management
- Develop and maintain a highly accurate, short-term (daily/weekly) and long-term (seasonal) cash flow forecast.
- Manage daily cash positioning to ensure all supplier (farmer, logistics, packing) payments are made on time.
- Manage all fund flows between related entities, if applicable.
4. Reporting & Controls
- Prepare regular treasury reports for management detailing cash positions, debt/facility utilization, FX exposures, and collection statuses.
- Ensure all cross-border transactions and treasury activities strictly adhere to the regulations of the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV).
- Proactively monitor and report on counterparty risk and bank credit risk.
Qualifications & Skills
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Banking.
- 5+ years of experience in a corporate treasury or trade finance role within Vietnam.
- Deep, practical knowledge of Vietnamese banking regulations, especially SBV rules on foreign exchange and cross-border trade.
- Fluency in both Vietnamese and English (written and spoken) is mandatory.
Preferred (Highly Desirable):
- Fluency in Mandarin
- Direct experience in the agriculture, export industry.
- Established relationships with trade finance teams at major banks in Vietnam.
- Experience in designing and implementing treasury functions from scratch.
