Job Description

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure the proper and timely movement of freight and information, while providing an exceptional customer service within the Transcon Department.
  • Ensure smooth and timely freight process flow
  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operating system.
  • Track and trace Transcon files as required.
  • Use workflows on daily basis to manage shipments
  • Ensure accurate and timely client and vendors billing.
  • Ensure proper delivery of freight as requested when applicable
  • Interact with our customers in arranging their TRANSCON shipments, meeting customer service standards.
  • Contribute to maintain good relationships with suppliers
  • Meet compliance at all times to regulations internally and externally in accordance with government regulations.
  • Understand department process flow, and looking for best practices to improve operational efficiency and productivity
  • Ensure all customers standard operating procedures are followed and updated in the SOP.
  • Meet KPI standards, as per the company's procedures.
  • Overseas communications, timely responses to emails and requests (internally and externally)
  • Escalation of problems to Management when necessary

Qualifications

  • Minimum Education & Experience: University graduation or equivalent qualification; at least 1 year of experience in freight forwarding industry, preferable domestic transportation, cross-border trucking, transportation and inside delivery for over-sized cargo and machineries.
  • Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results.
  • Pro-active, strong organizational skills
  • Good Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.,).
  • Fluent in English skills (Listening, Speaking, Reading, Writing)
