Job Description
As a Transactional Finance Assistant, this role is primarily responsible for supporting net revenue accuracy and financial operations across assigned projects, ensuring proper cost allocation, billing compliance, and strong working capital management. The role acts as a key control point between Account, Production, and Finance teams, maintaining data integrity in revenue and expense recognition while supporting reporting, audit compliance, and process improvements. In addition, the position will collaborate with internal stakeholders to strengthen financial controls, enhance billing processes, and support timely and accurate financial reporting.
Responsibilities
1/ Net revenue and project cost management:
- Preparation of month-end journal entry templates to instruct Accountants in project revenue and expense accrual;
- Verifying client project billings and production expense budgets;
- Verifying and coding production expense invoices;
- Review of billing requests and supporting billing documents prepared and submitted by Account/Billing team, ensuring compliance with internal and external audit requirement (including Client audit);
- Review of Active Job reports and tracking latest updates from financial point of view through
- regular WIP meetings with Account management and Production team (i.e. regularly review and challenge WIP with account teams; focus on old unbilled items, to ensure proper billing follow-up).
2/ Internal Control:
- Ensuring compliance with Group's policy, IFRS and VAS in all relevant tasks;
- Ensuring compliance with external audit requirements (including client audit);
- Collaboration with Commercial Finance team and Reporting team to strengthen accounting environment with regards to net revenue reporting.
- Providing process training (i.e. Job management system process, Billing process training to Account management team);
- Support SAP roll-out and implementation in Vietnam with regards to job management & net revenue management functions.
- Support Internal Controller in setting up effective TWCAP monitoring & control policy;
3/ Reporting and analysis:
- Reviewing Balance sheets prepared by Accountants with regards to TWCAP (e.g. AR turnover ratio, WIP aging, Accrued revenue aging, billing KPI performance of billing team) so as to support weekly Cashflow projection and controlling;
- Action plans for TWCAP to be set up, if necessary, jointly with Commercial Finance leads
- Other ad hoc reporting tasks assigned by Transactional Finance Lead/ Internal Controller.
Qualifications
- Degree in Finance/Accounting or related disciplines;
- At least 2-year experience in Auditing, Accounting or Finance;
- Proficiency in English;
- Soft skills: multitasking, teamwork, effective communications
- Solid proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools
