TRADE MARKETING MANAGER (GT Nationwide)
Role Overview
The Trade Marketing Manager General Trade (GT) leads the development and execution of GT channel strategies to drive both short-term results and long-term growth. This role leverages shopper, customer, and market insights to design effective channel plans, ensuring strong in-market execution and optimal return on trade investments.
Acting as a bridge between Sales, Marketing, and other functions, this position plays a key role in strengthening brand presence, accelerating sales performance, and unlocking sustainable growth across the GT channel.
Key Responsibilities
1. Channel Strategy & Growth Planning
- Develop and drive GT channel strategies based on shopper, customer, and market insights
- Identify growth opportunities and translate them into actionable plans aligned with business targets
- Contribute to overall commercial strategy with deep understanding of GT dynamics
2. Execution & Trade Effectiveness
- Ensure consistent and effective execution of channel plans across all customers
- Design and implement trade promotions, visibility programs, and activation initiatives
- Track performance (sales, market share, ROI) and optimize trade investments
3. Brand & Activation Deployment
- Convert insights into impactful brand and channel activation plans
- Lead omni-channel initiatives to enhance engagement and drive GT performance
- Ensure strong alignment between brand strategies and GT execution
4. Cross-functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and other teams to deliver channel plans
- Support Sales with clear direction, tools, and insights for in-store execution
- Ensure smooth coordination across functions to achieve business objectives
5. Market & Competitive Insights
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and channel developments
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations to strengthen market position
6. Project Leadership
- Lead key GT initiatives such as loyalty programs, visibility enhancements, and in-store activations
- Ensure projects are delivered effectively with clear impact and measurable results
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, or related fields
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Trade Marketing, Shopper Marketing, Customer Marketing, Brand Marketing, or GT Sales
- Proven track record in GT channel development and customer-facing roles
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills
- Results-driven mindset with resilience and ability to work under pressure
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time management skills
- Fast learner with strong adaptability
- Good command of English
