1. Role Purpose
The Trade Marketing Manager is responsible for driving sell-out growth, distribution expansion, and in-store execution excellence in the GT - Cold Chain channel, with a strong focus on chill & frozen products. This role acts as a bridge between Brand and Sales, ensuring strategies are translated into effective execution at Cold Chain outlets.
2. Key Responsibilities
- The role leads the development and execution of trade marketing strategies tailored for the GT - Cold Chain channel. This includes translating brand direction into actionable trade programs, aligning closely with Sales and Marketing to ensure both commercial impact and execution feasibility.
- At the point of sale, Trade MKT manager is accountable for building strong in-store presence through effective visibility, optimal SKU assortment, and consistent execution standards, especially around freezer display and chill & frozen product handling. Ensuring availability and maximizing share of shelf are critical to success.
- The role also drives trade promotions and outlet activation programs, from design to execution and post-evaluation. This includes managing retailer incentives, bundle offers, and in-store activities aimed at increasing conversion and sales velocity, while continuously optimizing ROI.
- A key focus is expanding the chill & frozen product footprint in GT - Cold Chain by working with Sales to identify and develop suitable outlets. This involves designing freezer placement programs, supporting cold-chain requirements, and tailoring SKU mix based on outlet capability and consumer demand.
- In addition, the role manages trade marketing budgets, monitors performance metrics such as sell-in/sell-out, distribution, and promotion effectiveness, and provides actionable insights to improve business outcomes. Close collaboration with Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain is essential to ensure alignment and execution consistency.
3. Requirement
- Minimum 57 years of experience in: Trade Marketing / Channel Marketing / Sales
- Mandatory experience in: General Trade (GT channel), FMCG industry
- Strong preference for candidates with experience in: frozen food / chilled products/ Fresh food / protein / cold chain distribution
- Proven track record in: designing and executing trade promotions and working closely with Sales teams in the field
- Strong analytical skills: data interpretation, ROI analysis
