Position: Trade Marketing Assistant Manager
Working place: Nguyen Luong Bang, Tan Phu Ward, District 7, Ho Chi Minh City
Working hours: Monday – Saturday, 9:00 – 18:00
1. Main responsibilities:
Trade Marketing & Retailer management
• Developing Trade Marketing Plans: Designing and executing trade marketing strategies
that align with brand objectives and support sales goals. This involves planning
promotions, displays, and in-store marketing tactics to maximize product impact at the
point of sale.
• Retailer Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with
retail partners and distributors. This includes understanding each retailer's needs and
working to ensure optimal product placement, promotional support, and competitive
positioning.
• Promotions and Merchandising: Creating, implementing, and tracking the effectiveness of
promotions, discounts, and in-store displays. Trade marketers work to ensure that
product presentations align with brand standards and appeal to target consumers.
• Sales Support: Collaborating with sales teams to provide tools, resources, and insights to
support their efforts in the field. This often involves developing sales materials,
conducting training sessions and creating retail-specific presentations.
• Market and Competitor Analysis: Monitoring market trends, competitor activities, and
consumer behavior. This insight helps in adjusting strategies to better meet market
demands and capitalize on opportunities.
Sales Operations Management:
• Execute and Monitor Perfect Stores in Key sales channels - execute and monitor
planograming
• Ensuring speed to market for New Product Distribution
• Ensure submission of Monthly Principal Report
• Sales Report – Weekly / Monthly
• Budget Management: Managing budgets allocated for trade marketing activities, including
tracking expenditure and analyzing ROI to ensure that funds are used efficiently to drive
measurable results.
• Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyzing sales data, customer feedback, and promotional
outcomes to assess the impact of trade marketing activities. Reporting findings to
stakeholders and using insights to refine future initiatives is also a key part of the role
2. Requirements:
• A University graduate degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field is
typically required.
• Relevant Work Experience would be an advantage: 3+ years in trade marketing, brand
management, or sales within the FMCG, retail, or consumer goods sectors is expected.
Experience working directly with retailers, distributors, or key accounts.
• Project and Campaign Management: Proven experience in planning and executing trade
marketing campaigns, promotions, and in-store activities. Familiarity with managing
multiple projects and timelines are important, as trade marketing involves coordinating
various initiatives simultaneously.
• Data Analysis and Sales Insight: Experience analyzing sales data and translating it into
actionable strategies are key. Familiarity with tools like Nielsen, IRI, or other retail analytics
platforms
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Since trade marketers work closely with sales, brand
marketing, and retail teams, experience in cross-functional roles or environments where
collaboration with other departments is an advantage
• Skills in Marketing and Sales: Strong understanding of marketing principles, consumer
behavior, and retail operations is crucial. Knowledge of trade marketing tactics (such as
promotional planning, merchandising, and pricing) and sales fundamentals is required.
• Analytical and Financial Acumen: should have strong analytical skills and be comfortable
working with data to evaluate promotions and return on investment (ROI). Should also
have some knowledge of budget management and forecasting.
• Communication and Negotiation Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills
are essential for collaborating with internal teams and external partners. Negotiation skills
are also important when working with retailers to secure prime product placements and
promotions.
