OVERALL
The Total Rewards Lead is a managerial role responsible for developing and implementing effective total rewards strategies that attract, retain, and motivate talent across the organization. This role oversees compensation and benefits, reward and recognition programs, performance management, salary benchmarking, workforce analytics, and employee retention initiatives. The position ensures compliance with company policies, optimizes reward-related budgets, and aligns total rewards practices with business objectives and market trends. Strong strategic thinking, analytical capability, stakeholder management, and leadership skills are essential to effectively support executive decision-making.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Policies and Procedures
- Provide comprehensive total rewards solutions for the organization.
- Coordinate the review and enhancement of compensation and benefits strategies, policies, systems, and related guidelines.
2. Compensation & Benefits
- Conduct market analysis to ensure salary structures, incentive schemes, and benefit programs remain competitive.
- Act as the primary liaison with external compensation and benefits consultants for salary surveys and market benchmarking.
- Participate in compensation and benefits communities and industry forums by contributing relevant insights and best practices.
- Monitor the financial impact of compensation programs and provide recommendations to optimize reward investments.
3. Staff Appointment Analysis
- Provide recommendations on salary offers, promotions, and other employment decisions in accordance with company policies.
- Prepare and analyze quarterly appointment reports to evaluate the effectiveness of talent attraction and retention strategies.
4. Annual Performance Management
- Manage the organization's annual performance management cycle, ensuring goal setting and performance evaluations are completed on schedule.
- Coordinate the annual promotion review process and analyze outcomes to improve organizational effectiveness.
- Coordinate the annual bonus review process and oversee its implementation.
5. Salary Benchmarking and Market Surveys
- Participate in salary, benefits, and relevant industry surveys to evaluate the organization's market competitiveness.
- Oversee job matching activities to ensure accurate benchmarking and reliable market comparisons.
6. Reporting
- Prepare periodic and ad hoc reports related to compensation, benefits, performance management, and workforce analytics.
7. Other Responsibilities
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Line Manager.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Human Resources, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Compensation & Benefits / Total Rewards, including at least 2 years in a managerial role.
Essential Capabilities
- Strong change management, multitasking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to deliver results in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive total rewards and employee benefits programs.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws, compensation and benefits regulations, and market best practices.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and HRIS platforms.
- Experience working with leading compensation and benefits consulting firms such as Mercer, Korn Ferry Hay Group (Hay), or Willis Towers Watson (WTW) is preferred.
