Tooling Engineer is responsible for the design, development, improvement, and maintenance of tooling, jigs, fixtures, and molds used in electronic component assembly processes. This role ensures tooling performance, cost efficiency, production stability, and compliance with quality, safety, and global manufacturing standards.
3.Key Responsibilities
Design, modify, and improve tooling, jigs, fixtures for SMT, PCBA, and assembly lines
Support production to resolve tooling-related issues and reduce downtime
Participate in NPI, trial run, and mass production ramp-up
Work with suppliers on tooling fabrication, modification, and cost control
Drive continuous improvement to improve quality, yield, and productivity
Ensure tooling complies with quality, safety, and internal standards
4.Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Mechatronics / related fields
2+ years experience in tooling or manufacturing engineering (electronics assembly preferred)
Proficient in CAD (SolidWorks / AutoCAD / Creo)
Knowledge of SMT, PCBA, jigs & fixtures
Good problem-solving and communication skills
English working proficiency
