Position OverviewThe Basecamp Manager is responsible for the daily operations, safety, and development of The Mountain Tribe Basecamp. This leadership role ensures smooth delivery of outdoor education programs, manages facilities and staff, and provides exceptional experiences for school groups, corporate clients, and training courses.
The ideal candidate is a skilled outdoor educator with strong leadership, logistical, and operational management capabilities, passionate about inspiring learning and adventure in the outdoors.
Key Responsibilities
1.
Program & Activity Management- Oversee the planning, coordination, and safe delivery of all Basecamp programs, including outdoor education, school expeditions, adventure training, and corporate team-building.
- Ensure activities (hiking, kayaking, ropes, MTB, survival skills, etc.) meet safety standards and align with TMT's learning outcomes.
- Support facilitation and training sessions when required.

Basecamp Operations- Manage Basecamp facilities, equipment, and logistics to ensure functionality, cleanliness, and readiness for groups.
- Oversee catering, accommodation, and activity site preparation.
- Maintain risk management protocols, emergency procedures, and compliance with safety regulations.

Team Leadership- Recruit, train, and supervise Basecamp staff and activity instructors.
- Foster a professional, inclusive, and supportive team culture.
- Ensure all staff uphold The Mountain Tribe's values, policies, and safety standards.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement- Act as the primary Basecamp contact for visiting schools, corporate clients, and training partners.
- Support client briefings, program evaluations, and continuous improvement.
- Build positive relationships with local communities and stakeholders around Trị An Lake.
5.
Administration & Development- Manage schedules, bookings, budgets, and reporting for Basecamp operations.
- Track program outcomes, client satisfaction, and incident reports.
- Contribute to the design of new programs, training modules, and adventure experiences.
Qualifications & ExperienceEssential:
- Strong background in Outdoor Education, Adventure Leadership, or related fields.
- Minimum 3–5 years experience in outdoor program delivery and camp management.
- Familiarity with school groups, corporate training, and experiential learning frameworks.
- Demonstrated skills in group facilitation, team leadership, and risk management.
- Certifications in First Aid, CPR (Wilderness First Aid preferred).
- Proficient in logistics, administration, and equipment maintenance.
Desirable:
- Technical qualifications in kayaking, ropes, climbing, or mountain biking.
- Experience in international schools, youth programs, or corporate training.
- Strong intercultural communication and bilingual ability (Vietnamese + English).
- LR/MR driver's licence and 4WD experience.

Salary & BenefitsWe offer a competitive salary aligned with industry standards in Viet Nam for international outdoor education professionals.
- Salary Range:
- Local hires: 25–35 million VND/month (≈ US $1,000–$1,400)
- Expat hires: $1,800–$2,500/month, depending on experience & qualifications
