Design and select thermal system components and subsystems for EV and ESS Batteries
Participate in research and development activities for new components, concepts, materials related to thermal management systems in the battery
Prepare and release technical drawings, design data, test procedures and other documents
Work closely with other departments (EE, SW, testing, production, ...), suppliers and other stakeholders to ensure product technical standards and project schedules are met
Participate in component quality assessment and control during product development and mass production phase (component, sub-system, system testing)
Manage design data, BOM, design approval flow of battery pack thermal management system for automotive and ESS batteries
Advise and propose ideas, design and optimize solutions for products
Strong knowledge / experience in design of thermal management systems, especially flammable gas venting and Fire Suppression Systems. Battery system design knowledge/experience is an advantage
Must possess knowledge of other aspects of battery thermal management systems, such as cooling/heating, fluid mechanics
Proficient in CAD, PLM (Catia, TeamCenter, etc.)
Understanding of analytical calculation methods for basic system sizing (cooling capacity, ventilation, etc.)
Understanding automotive design process is an advantage
Experience working with test and certification standards from UL, IEC is an advantage
Strong problem-solving skills
Team player with good communication, presentation and reporting skills
Readiness to occasionally travel to Haiphong, Ha Tinh (factories) and other locations (including abroad) for project deployment, prototype building and product testing
Language: Advanced English
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
