In this role, you will be instrumental in the Vehicle Performance Department, using your extensive skills to process and analyze large volumes of data. You will collaborate with diverse teams, including Engineering, Quality Control and VINFAST suppliers, to create cutting-edge solutions that will drive the future of transportation.
- Own the delivery of Thermal performance targets aligned with vehicle attribute objectives.
- Lead root cause analysis and drive resolution of complex Thermal issues across vehicle systems (powertrain, chassis, body, etc.).
- Direct validation and testing strategy for Thermal-related performance.
- Collaborate with Chief Engineers and other attribute leaders (thermal, comfort, range, etc.) to balance trade-offs.
- Mentor and technically guide engineering team members
- Be the VinFast interface with global experts and global forums
- Drive innovation in Thermal design practices, and simulation techniques.
- Represent Thermal in program reviews, gateways, and supplier engagements.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- B.S./M.S. in Mechanical, Thermal, or Automotive Engineering.
- 10+ years in vehicle thermal system design, simulation, and validation.
- Deep understanding of HVAC, cooling loops, battery thermal management.
- Experience leading system integration and resolving cross-functional conflicts.
- Strong collaboration, data-driven decision-making, and communication skills.
- Familiar with problem solving methods
Preferred
- EV thermal systems experience.
- Fluency in thermal system modeling and controls integration.
