Meet the team

Product Operations is part of Supply Chain Operations (SCO), driving New Product Introduction (NPI) and Product Lifecycle Management from launch through End of Life (EOL). The team partners with Design Engineering early in development to ensure manufacturability, testability, and smooth transitions into production. We're collaborative, highly technical, and focused on solving complex problems that connect design and manufacturing at scale.

Your impact

  • Collaborate with Product Design & Engineering teams to apply Cisco's Product Design & Test Methodology.
  • Engage early in design to improve DFM/DFT requirements and provide timely feedback.
  • Develop manufacturing test strategies based on hardware, system, and diagnostics specifications.
  • Act as the technical POC for Contract Manufacturers, providing debug support and resolving product queries.
  • Deliver scalable, efficient test automation code aligned with Cisco guidelines.
  • Provide cross-BU and cross-product family support.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's/Graduate degree in Electronics or Computer Science Engineering.
  • 7+ years of experience in hardware product design, validation, and test automation, with strong C/C++/Python programming skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of product design cycles, hardware development, and debug processes.
  • Familiarity with product testing standards, software development lifecycle, and unit testing.
  • Experience in NPI and manufacturing processes.
  • Strong programming skills in Java/Python (Python preferred for Apollo platform).
  • Basic networking knowledge (IP/MAC address, netmask, etc.).
  • Knowledge of hardware architecture/components (CPU, ASIC, firmware vs OS).
  • Debug/troubleshooting expertise and manufacturing test operations experience.
  • Familiarity with Linux (AP2/diag shell) and version control tools (GitHub/Bitbucket).
  • Strong communication and project management skills.
  • Technology preference: Telecom/Networking products, hardware protocols such as PCIe, I2C, SPC, xMII, SerDes, RS232, DDR2/3/4, ARM processors.
  • Proficient in English and local language, with strong collaboration and independent working skills; proactive and eager to learn new technologies. Flexible to work remotely, co-located with Contract Manufacturers, and across global time zones.
