JOB PURPOSE

Responsible for supporting the operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the airport terminal's Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) systems, including HVAC, electrical distribution, standby power systems, UPS, water supply, drainage, fire protection systems, elevators, escalators, and other building services infrastruct

ure.The role ensures that all MEP assets are maintained in a safe, reliable, and operationally ready condition to support uninterrupted airport operations in a 24/7 environment. The position provides technical expertise for troubleshooting, maintenance planning, contractor management, and compliance with applicable regulatory, safety, and operational standards.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

I. MEP Systems Operations & Reliability

1. Monitor and support the day-to-day operation of terminal MEP systems, including HVAC, electrical systems, UPS, standby generators, water supply, drainage, fire protection systems, elevators, and escalators.
2. Conduct technical inspections and condition assessments to ensure system reliability, availability, and operational readiness.
3. Investigate equipment failures and system abnormalities, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
4. Support emergency response activities related to MEP system failures to minimize operational disruption.
5. Maintain accurate records of asset performance, maintenance activities, and technical documentation.

II. Maintenance Planning & Technical Support

1. Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs for MEP as sets.
2. Review maintenance schedules and work orders to ensure compliance with operational and safety requirements.
3. Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support to technicians and contractors.
4. Participate in testing, commissioning, and handover activities for new MEP installations and infrastructure projects.
5. Support asset lifecycle management, including condition monitoring, replacement planning, and system upgrades.

III. Safety, Compliance & Contractor Management

1. Ensure compliance with applicable building, electrical, mechanical, fire safety, and environmental regulations.
2. Support internal and external audits, inspections, and regulatory reviews.
3. Monitor contractor performance and ensure all maintenance activities are completed in accordance with approved technical specifications and safety standards.
4. Promote adherence to the Airport Safety Management System (SMS) and safe work practices.
5. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in maintenance effectiveness, energy efficiency, and operational reliability.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, MEP Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional engineering qualification is preferred.

Work Experience

• 5–8 years of experience in MEP operation, maintenance, or engineering within airports, transportation infrastructure, commercial buildings, industrial facilities, or large-scale develop
• ments.Experience managing HVAC, electrical distribution, standby power, UPS, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
• Experience working within a 24/7 operational environment is pref
• Experience supervising contractors and maintenance service providers.
• Experience in asset maintenance planning and technical troubleshooting.

Certifications & Licenses

• Relevant engineering certification or professional license preferred.
• Electrical safety training and authorization preferred.
• Fire protection system training or building services certifications preferred.
