Job Description

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE 

• The Tender Engineer will be responsible for mechanical design, technical drawings, and cost estimation to support project bidding and sales activities. This role combines engineering design capabilities with commercial awareness to develop effective and competitive technical solutions.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Design mechanical parts, components, and systems based on project requirements 

• Prepare detailed technical drawings using SolidWorks 

• Review technical specifications and develop appropriate design solutions 

• Support the Sales team in site surveys, collect technical data, and propose suitable solutions 

• Prepare technical proposals, drawings, and documentation for bidding/tender submissions 

• Perform quantity take-off, cost estimation, and quotation preparation 

• Coordinate with suppliers and internal departments to obtain pricing and technical information 

• Provide technical clarification and support during client discussions 

• Ensure designs comply with technical standards and project requirements 

JOB REQUIREMENTS 

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fields 

• Proficiency in SolidWorks (required) 

• Minimum 1 - 3 years of experience in mechanical design, tendering, or project estimation 

• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and technical drawings 

• Basic knowledge of cost estimation, BOQ, and bidding documentation 

• Good command of English (reading and writing technical documents) 

• Willing to travel for site surveys when required 

• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills 

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical fabrication, manufacturing, or project-based environments 

• Experience supporting sales or working in a tender/bidding role 

• Familiarity with industry standards and materials
