This position will lead training of Axalta Technical staff, distributor Technical Representatives and end-user Painters for new and existing products.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the annual national training schedule.
- Deliver technical training for new and existing Axalta refinish products and systems.
- Contribute to creation and revision of training materials as required
- Develop new processes and application methods tailored to specific customer requirements
- Promote 100% usage of Axalta-branded paint and nonpaint products.
- Manage and develop a team of technical trainers/technicians, ensuring high-quality delivery and performance.
- Ensure successful planning and execution of OEM demonstrations, including preparation, application processes, and customer engagement.
- Provide technical support to customers, bodyshops, and sales teams.
- Support product launches and gather market feedback for refinement.
- Ensure training activities comply with workplace health & safety requirements.
To Be Successful In This Role You Will Need
- Trade-qualified spray painter with 7+ years recent, hands-on experience.
- Experience implementing processes in a bodyshop environment.
- Proven ability to train and facilitate sessions for small and large groups.
- Strong computer proficiency (PowerPoint, email, interactive training sites).
- Excellent communication and time management abilities.
- Solid knowledge of workplace health & safety.
- Experience managing or coaching technical staff is an advantage.
- Ability to adapt processes to local market conditions and customer needs.
