RHS Job Title Technical Support Student Job Description
As a Technical Support Student Team Member, you will provide technical assistance to Residential and Hospitality Services (RHS) staff. You will be joining a team that provides excellent technical and customer service to RHS staff. We are looking for team members with strong critical thinking skills and team collaboration experience who want to learn and grow in technology.
The starting pay for this position is $13.73/hr.
- Assist professional staff in troubleshooting, repairing, upgrading, and replacing computer workstations, digital signage, printers, laptops, and other technical devices across RHS (we provide training)
- Providing technical service across RHS
- Diagnose and correct technical problems as they occur
Required Qualifications
- Be enrolled as a student at Michigan State University (during academic year)
- Must be a motivated self-starter able to complete tasks and problem solve in a timely manner with minimal supervision
- Good communication skills (written and verbal) and be positive and respectful, especially when working with a diverse population
- Must be dependable and reliable
- Basic level of technical aptitude required
- A valid U.S. Issued Drivers License and be able to meet and maintain the University's driving standards

- Available to work during the Summer Semester
