Job Description

Position Overview:

The Technical Manager supports Corporate Technical Service Department in executing the company's direct vendor quality strategy. This role provides oversight of vendors general quality management systems, supports the implementation of the Group and Industry Good Manufacturing Practices, and leads Root Cause Analysis activities in the event of serious quality failures.

This role will also oversee vendor's appointed Brand Technical Managers and Factory Certified Auditors stationed at factory's sites, ensuring buck production meets company's quality requirement, audit processes, and corrective action follow-up.

Primary focus will be on footwear, with opportunities to expand experience and develop capability in other accessories categories (e.g. handbags, belt, etc).

Frequent travel within Vietnam with occasionally travel to other Asia locations as required.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Lead and conduct Factory Evaluations

Assist and support new vendor onboarding

Lead and execute Quality Management Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) evaluation process

Conduct SOP Training

Deliver Brand Technical Manager Training

Conduct Root Cause Analysis

Corrective Plan Management execution and tracking

Manage and update the Continuous Improvement Plan and QA Scorecard

Primary Documentary Controls

Factory Evaluation Report

SOP Evaluation Report

Internal Manufacturers KPI Report

QA Training Manual

Quality Failure Report

Quality Scorecard

Qualifications & Skills:

Degree holder or equivalent in footwear technology, development and other related field.

Minimum 10 years of work experience in footwear manufacturing and quality assurance. Prior experience in fashion accessories (e.g. handbag, belt, etc) is a plus, but not required.

At least 3 years of supervisory experience

Working knowledge of root-cause analysis techniques and methodologies.

Practical understanding of the key factors/elements that differentiate high-quality brand standards

Competent in written and spoken English.
