ABOUT THE JOB
This is an opportunity will own and manage the Workplace Platform roadmap, backlog and delivery outcomes. The role bridges product strategy, customer experience and technical execution, ensuring the delivery of high-quality digital solutions for NAB colleagues. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver value at speed while maintaining strong alignment with business objectives, platform standards and user needs.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Define, shape and prioritise the product roadmap, backlog and digital experiences aligned with business objectives
- Manage backlog strategy by balancing business priorities, customer needs, platform enhancements and technical improvements
- Translate business requirements into epics, features and user stories with clear acceptance criteria and definition of done
- Own the end-to-end product lifecycle, ensuring delivery meets quality, security, performance and integration standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional squads (engineers, BAs, architects, designers) to deliver roadmap initiatives
- Act as the voice of customer and colleague, ensuring solutions are user-centric and value-driven
- Facilitate delivery by resolving blockers, managing dependencies and making trade-off decisions
- Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships through clear communication, alignment and expectation management
- Provide leadership within the squad to drive outcomes, improve quality and foster continuous improvement
- Enable delivery through backlog refinement, sprint planning, decision-making, progress tracking and outcome measurement
YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Must-haves:
Experience
- 7+ years of experience in technology or digital product environments, with experience as a Product Owner and strong technical background
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and ways of working (Scrum/Kanban)
- Proven experience managing product backlogs and delivering outcomes in cross-functional teams
- Ability to translate business needs into clear, actionable user stories
- Solid understanding of digital platforms, system integration and product lifecycle
- Experience working in complex environments, preferably within financial services or large enterprises
- Familiarity with Human-Centred Design (HCD) principles
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to simplify complex challenges
- Proven stakeholder management and influencing skills across multiple levels
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Tertiary qualified with a Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering and preference to post graduate qualifications
