About The Role: Technical Anchor & AI Pioneer
As our Tech Lead in Vietnam, you are the cornerstone of our local engineering operations and the guardian of our technical vision. Your mission is to lead the development of our primary project and oversee new ventures, ensuring they are built on a foundation of architectural rigor and cutting‑edge AI orchestration.
You will bridge the gap between European strategy and local execution, mentoring a high‑performing team while remaining a hands‑on expert in Agentic Systems and Information System (IS) Architecture.
The position is based in Ho Chi Minh City.
Your responsibilities
Engineering Leadership & Mentoring:
- Team Growth: Act as a Player-Coach, mentoring the Vietnam-based team through code reviews, architectural workshops, and career development.
- Setting Standards: You define the Gold Standard for our SDLC—from requirements and testing to production operations and observability.
- Technical Influence: Lead without always needing direct authority; set the direction for system decomposition, API design, and failure mode reasoning.
Production-Grade AI & Agentic Systems
- Beyond Prototyping: Build and maintain AI-powered features that real users depend on, understand latency implications, cost trade‑offs, and output reliability
- Agentic Orchestration: Design multi-agent patterns (task decomposition, tool use, memory) using frameworks like LangGraph.
- AI Evaluation: Establish rigorous AI evaluations to detect regressions and use quantitative signals to improve agent behavior over time.
IS Architecture & Strategic Oversight
- RAG & Knowledge: Implement RAG architectures and embedding strategies to ground AI agents in proprietary knowledge bases.
- System Urbanization: Act as the architect of a coherent ecosystem, ensure seamless integration across projects, maintaining data integrity, and avoiding technical silos.
- Project Centralization: Serve as the technical point of contact for the Fil Rouge project and emerging projects, ensuring they remain on track and architecturally sound.
Your Profile
- 3-4 years of experience in a similar role (Tech Lead or Staff Engineer).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
- You are a self-starter who also thrives in a collaborative team environment.
Technical requirements:
- Stack: Proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript/JavaScript across multiple layers of the stack.
- Architecture: Strong command of system decomposition, scalability, and observability.
- AI & Workflow:
- Production AI: Real-world experience with LLM API integration, context window management, and fallback strategies.
- Modern Workflow: Habitual use of AI coding agents (Cursor, Claude, Copilot) as a core part of your engineering process.
- Evaluation: Ability to define quality metrics and build evaluation datasets for AI features
Languages:
- Vietnamese: full command
- English: Full professional proficiency. You will lead daily technical and strategic discussions with international stakeholders.
- French knowledge is a strong plus
