Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior AI Engineer / Technical Lead specializing in Computer Vision to drive the technical vision, architecture, and delivery of AI-powered solutions. This position is ideal for a strong senior engineer with leadership capabilities or an established technical lead who is passionate about building production-grade AI systems and driving innovation.
The successful candidate will work closely with international clients, lead technical initiatives, mentor engineers, and contribute directly to the development of advanced Computer Vision solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of Computer Vision and AI solutions for production environments.
- Define and execute technical strategies aligned with business objectives and client requirements.
- Design and oversee end-to-end Computer Vision systems, from data collection and processing to model training, optimization, deployment, and monitoring.
- Research, develop, and improve AI models focusing on object detection, object segmentation, image processing, and related Computer Vision applications.
- Establish engineering best practices, development standards, and MLOps processes.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to AI engineers.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, clients, and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and reliable solutions.
- Identify and mitigate technical risks while ensuring long-term maintainability and sustainability of systems.
- Participate in technical discussions and client meetings conducted in English.
Project Information
- International project serving the Norwegian market in the AutoHome domain.
- Focus on developing and enhancing 2D and 3D AI models.
- Existing team structure includes 1 CTO and 5–6 Mid-to-Senior AI Engineers.
- This position will work directly with the CTO and provide technical leadership to the AI engineering team.
- Approximately 80% hands-on technical contribution and 20% technical leadership responsibilities.
- The role focuses on technical leadership rather than people management.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in software engineering and AI solution development.
- Proven experience building and deploying production-ready AI systems.
- Strong expertise in Computer Vision, including areas such as:
- Object Detection
- Object Segmentation
- Image Processing
- OCR
- Object Tracking
- Video Analytics
- Strong proficiency in Python.
- Good proficiency in C++.
- Hands-on experience with:
- PyTorch
- OpenCV
- Ultralytics YOLO Training Framework
- Solid understanding of deep learning fundamentals, including CNNs and Transformer architectures.
- Experience taking AI solutions from research or prototype stage to production deployment.
- Strong English communication skills for client-facing discussions and technical collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a Technical Lead role.
- Experience leading technical initiatives across cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of MLOps practices, including CI/CD, model deployment, monitoring, and ML pipelines.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Experience working with distributed systems, Kubernetes, or Spark.
- Exposure to Generative AI or multimodal AI systems.
- Experience working directly with international clients or outsourcing projects.
- Contributions to research publications, technical communities, or open-source projects.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or related fields.

Working Schedule
