About The Role

  • You will be a part of the Package and Systems Engineering Team, which is responsible for the substrate layout of high-performance semiconductor IC (Integrated Circuit) packaging solutions for the latest ARM-64bit Server Technology Chip production. You will work with Signal and Power Integrity teams to verify signal characteristics and optimize signal routing and power delivery networks. You will have the autonomy to define your learning objectives and set own goals for your achievements.
  • In this role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with and learn from experienced industrial designers and architects, contributing to innovative designs in cloud computing. Our engineers are passionate about technology and innovation and leverage that enthusiasm to deliver world-class products.
  • Technical Intern, IC Package PCB Layout Engineer needs to have basic knowledge of electric circuits/electronics and electromagnetic field theory, particularly as it relates to high-speed signal and power delivery. Understanding common electrical interfaces such as I2C, SPI, UART, as well as common electrical circuits, such as Operational Amplifiers, LDOs, Bulk, Boost switching voltage regulators is an advantage.

What You'll Achieve

  • Gain understanding of physical connectivity from silicon design to end user level.
  • Perform components placement and Multi-Layer HDI PCB signal and power routing.
  • Work with SIPI engineers to adjust routing and passive component arrangement.
  • Collaborate with Silicon Engineering/ Hardware Platform Engineering to achieve optimal routing path for silicon, IC packages, and platforms.

About You

  • Experience with some hardware projects (Circuit/PCB design) at your school is preferred.
  • Experience and/or knowledge in power regulator design, and measurements.
  • Knowledge and experience with Allegro PCB Design tools are preferred.
  • Have good observation to optimize component placement to utilize the space while keeping good routing strategy.
  • Good communication skills in English and Vietnamese

Education

  • Candidate must be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering as a 4th year student with strong academic record or equivalent.
