Fortune Swimwear LLC is seeking a Technical Designer that specializes in Swimwear, Active and/or Intimate apparel in Hanoi, Vietnam. Candidate must have full understanding of the Technical Design process from Fit Development through Production.

Candidate will be working alongside patternmaker, factory and quality assurance team to create accurately fitting garments following detailed brand specifications and slopers. Position requires candidate to create and maintain Tech Packs including POM's, construction information, and technical callouts. Must track and monitor fit and production samples, provide timely sample evaluations and ensure consistency in fit are met within the product calendar. Must have full understanding of 4-way-stretch fabric fit on body and on form. Fit sessions on mannequin form and fit model are required.

Must be able to identify fit issues and recommend solutions clearly, requiring excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Must be efficient with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Power Point, Adobe Illustrator and PLM systems.

Qualifications include 5+ years of relevant experience in swimwear, active and/or intimate apparel.

Job Responsibilities:

• This position will oversee fittings and confirm fit accuracy according to all brand manuals and standards, leading fittings with patternmakers, fit models and related teams.
• Responsible for providing detailed technical information including points of measure, development and final specs, detailed construction information and construction sketches for swimwear and coverups.
• Brand-specific protocol required, must be adaptable to calendar requisites and able to study and learn new processes quickly.
• Responsible for timely sample evaluations, ensuring approvals for fit consistency are met by required dates. Must maintain awareness of production timeline.
• Must review grade rules, cross-check patterns, production specs, and BOM's before approving to production.
• Track and monitor execution of fit and top of production (TOP) samples; keep archive of samples, notes, trims, etc.
• Must communicate efficiently using Microsoft excel, Microsoft Power Point and Adobe Illustrator.
• Must have knowledge of raw materials, fabric function and manufacturing process.
• Needs understanding of patternmaking for swim, including molded cup, underwire and trim development.
• Must be capable of successfully working in a team environment, ensuring patternmaking and design departments are all aligned on product. Organizational skills are essential.
• Must demonstrate ability to manage projects independently with minimal supervision.
