Technical Architect

For one of our clients, TOG recruitment is looking for a Technical Architect to work in Ho Chi Minh City. As such, you always will be working with the latest proven technologies in a state of the art office with an open environment. Our client is an IT Staffing company specializing in software and application development. They provide technology services that digitally transform their partners and generate business value. They are a Microsoft Gold Partner and are ISO 27001:2013 certified. They offer a comprehensive range of services, including staffing and technology consulting, software engineering, and ongoing support. They fully embrace the Agile software engineering principles and use SCRUM to manage projects. Their multidisciplinary expertise enables them to deliver innovative solutions that help their partners achieve their goals.

Key responsibilities:

- Design application and system architecture, including integration, infrastructure, and security.

- Define technical standards, architecture guidelines, and best practices.

- Review system designs, technical documentation, and code to ensure architectural quality.

- Mentor development teams and provide technical leadership.

- Evaluate technologies and make architecture decisions that balance business needs with technical feasibility.

- Identify technical risks and provide mitigation strategies.

- Gather and analyze business requirements, working directly with clients to understand their objectives.

- Translate business requirements into technical solutions and recommend suitable technologies.

- Produce solution proposals and support estimation and pre-sales activities when required.

- Work closely with Project Managers/Product Owners, Business Analysts (where applicable), and development teams, acting as the technical lead to ensure solutions align with both business objectives and architectural standards.

- Identify opportunities to leverage AI technologies to improve business processes and software solutions.

- Design enterprise solutions that integrate AI capabilities where appropriate.

- Advise development teams on selecting and integrating managed AI services, primarily within Microsoft Azure.

- Stay current with emerging AI technologies and evaluate their applicability to client solutions.

- Promote the effective use of AI-assisted development practices across engineering teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Cloud certification: Azure

- Experience in solution consulting, or technical proposal preparation.

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Job requirements:

- 7+ years of experience in software development.

- At least 2–3 years of experience in a Technical Architect role, including solution architecture responsibilities such as gathering requirements and working directly with clients.

- Experience designing enterprise-level, cloud-based, and distributed systems.

- Experience working directly with international clients is preferred.

- Strong understanding of software architecture patterns (Microservices, Eventdriven Architecture, Domain-Driven Design, RESTful APIs, etc.).

- Solid knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud).

- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

- Strong understanding of databases (SQL and NoSQL).

- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and system integration.

- Architectural knowledge of cloud networking and security principles to design secure, scalable solutions.

- Hands-on development experience with modern technology stacks such as .NET or similar. Node.js is a plus

- Good understanding of AI capabilities and Large Language Models (LLMs), and their applicability to enterprise solutions.

- Ability to identify suitable AI use cases and recommend appropriate managed AI services, primarily within Microsoft Azure.

- Experience designing architectures that integrate AI capabilities into enterprise applications.

- Ability to advise clients and development teams on AI-enabled solution design.

- Experience using AI-assisted software development tools (such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, or similar) to improve engineering productivity is required.
