Technical Architect

Role Description:

Principal .NET Developer (Full Stack / Solution Architect) is a Brisbane-headquartered custom software development agency delivering enterprise web applications, portals, and digital platforms for government and corporate clients across Australia.

We are seeking a top five % Principal .NET/Fullstack Developer a web application specialist / solution architect who can lead complex builds, mentor developers, and take full ownership of technical outcomes.

This is not a maintenance role. This is a leadership role for someone who wants to shape architecture, unblock teams, and deliver enterprise-grade systems that matter.

The Role Lead Solution Architect on enterprise web applications:

Technical authority on .NET and Azure architecture

Mentor and unblocker for mid and junior developers

Trusted technical voice in client conversations

Owner of code quality, performance, security and deployment standards

You will be accountable for delivering working, production-ready systems not just writing code.

You'll Be Responsible For

Designing scalable web application architectures using .NET (ASP.NET Core)

Leading full-stack delivery across backend, frontend and infrastructure

Modelling data and optimising performance using Entity Framework / EF Core

Reviewing code and enforcing engineering standards

Diagnosing and resolving complex production issues quickly

Designing CI/CD pipelines and understanding DevOps workflows

Ensuring applications are secure, maintainable and cloud-ready

Translating business requirements into clean technical solutions

Communicating clearly with clients when required

Backend

Deep expertise in C#, ASP.NET Core and modern .NET ecosystem

Strong mastery of Entity Framework / EF Core (performance tuning, migrations, modelling)

RESTful API design and distributed systems patterns

Strong SQL knowledge and database optimisation

Frontend

Some capability in modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue or similar)

Understanding of component-driven UI architecture Ability to collaborate effectively with UX designers

Cloud & DevOps

Production experience in Microsoft Azure

CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or similar)

Infrastructure awareness (App Services, containers, networking, security)

Monitoring, logging and production diagnostics
