ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are seeking a Tax Manager to oversee tax compliance, reporting, and planning, ensuring full compliance with VAT, CIT, PIT, FCT, and transfer pricing regulations. The role will lead tax operations, support financial reporting and audits, optimize tax efficiency, and provide strategic tax advisory across the organization while collaborating with cross-functional teams to manage risks and improve tax performance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Tax Compliance & Reporting
- Lead and manage multiple operations of the tax practice area and to deliver quality tax packages. Manage tax provision and tax compliance process.
- Ensure full compliance with all tax regulations including VAT, CIT, PIT, FCT, and other local tax obligations and prepare tax reports/returns on time.
- Handle all transfer pricing transactions and documentations with Related Parties and Consultants. Provide innovative tax planning and optimizing tax obligations for the entire group across regions.
- Monitor and update changes in tax legislation, assess impacts, and provide timely advice to management.
- Lead tax audits and inspections with Tax authorities, preparing necessary documentation and explanations.
Financial & Tax Reporting and Reconciliation
- Prepare periodic financial statements (monthly, quarterly, yearly) and ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting, tax, and internal financial policies.
- Prepare and review internal management reports to support business analysis and decision-making (e.g., revenue, cost, profitability, and performance reports).
- Perform monthly/quarterly tax reconciliations between internal reports and statutory reports.
- Support Head of Finance in preparing management reports, tax forecasts, and cash flow impact analyses.
Tax Planning & Advisory
- Provide recommendations to optimize tax efficiency and mitigate potential tax risks.
- Review and advise on the tax implications of business contracts, supplier agreements, franchising, and intercompany transactions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with non-finance, legal, procurement and other functional teams to embed tax compliance into everyday business processes.
- Deliver tax training and updates to local finance teams, as well as operational leaders.
QUALIFICATION:
- Bachelor's degree in tax, accounting, auditing, or related field with Chief Accountant Certificate or CPA or equivalent certification.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in tax management, accounting, preferably in tech or related fast moving industry.
- In-depth knowledge of local tax laws, accounting standards, and reporting requirements. Strong understanding of transfer pricing, Corporate tax, VAT, FCT and other indirect taxes.
- Have global tax knowledge and practice
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and logical thinking skills. High attention to detail and accuracy.
