As Tax Consultant (Client Assignment - 6 months contract), you will be responsible to ensure accurate and timely preparation, filing, and compliance with tax regulations, including Value Added Tax (VAT), Foreign Contractor Tax (FCT), and Corporate Income Tax (CIT), in accordance with local laws and company policies.
What you will do. A day in the life.
In this role, you will be responsible for the following key duties and responsibilities:
- Prepare, review, and submit VAT, FCT, and CIT declarations in a timely and accurate manner
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and statutory requirements
- Monitor changes in tax laws and assess impacts on company operations. standards
- Calculate monthly/quarterly VAT liabilities, including input/output VAT reconciliation
- Prepare and calculate FCT for foreign suppliers/contractors
- Support CIT calculation, including provisional and final CIT returns and tax finalization
- Maintain proper tax records and documentation to support tax filings
- Reconcile tax accounts with the general ledger regularly
- Ensure proper archiving of tax documents in accordance with legal requirements
- Support tax audits, inspections, and inquiries from tax authorities
- Prepare required documents and explanations for tax authorities
- Work with internal teams and external advisors during tax reviews
Job Requirements
- Have graduated with Bachelor's degree in Accounting/ Tax or equivalent
- Have from 3 - 4 years experience in the equivalent role
- Experience with SAP ERP system
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Well organized, able to meet deadlines and high attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Confident communicating in intermediate English (spoken and written)
- Confident working with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Solid knowledge of local tax laws, rules, formalities, updated with recent tax amendments
- Experience & knowledge of handling all tax forms in digital mode with proficient in local tax portals/online platforms
- Strong liaising skill with tax authority officers
- Having previous work experience in multinational companies preferred
