Position Overview

RBA Vietnam is seeking three motivated and detail-oriented Tax Associates to join our team in supporting our client, a boutique international tax compliance firm headquartered in Oxford, United Kingdom. The firm specializes in UK and US tax compliance, consulting, and tax planning services for private clients across more than a dozen countries.

In this role, you will be employed by RBA Vietnam and work full-time as part of our client's tax compliance team, collaborating closely with colleagues in the UK on a daily basis to deliver high-quality services to an international client base.

This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or early-career professionals with relevant experience who are looking to build a long-term career in international taxation. You will receive comprehensive on-the-job training, gain hands-on exposure to a wide range of UK and US tax matters, and have the opportunity to develop your technical expertise and professional skills in a collaborative, supportive, and technology-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing UK Self-Assessment tax returns and supporting schedules under the guidance of senior team members, which include: prepare and maintain supporting workpapers and tax documentation for client engagements. Input, update, and validate client data within tax software and internal systems, ensuring a high level of accuracy.
  • Conduct research on UK tax legislation, regulations, and guidance. Stay informed of relevant tax legislation and regulatory developments.
  • Prepare clear and professional correspondence relating to client information requests and tax engagements.
  • Ensure all client documentation is complete, properly filed, and readily accessible.
  • Use tax software and technology tools to support the efficient delivery of client services.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, documentation standards, and workflow efficiency.
  • As your career progresses, opportunities may arise to support international tax engagements and broaden your expertise.

Job Requirements

1.Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Auditing, Finance, Taxation, or a related discipline.

2.Experience

• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

• Candidates with 3 - 6 months of internship experience in accounting, audit, and tax will be considered an advantage.

3.Technical Skills

• Strong command of written and spoken English – essential, as all work and communication are conducted in English with a UK-based team.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; comfort learning new tax software quickly.

4. Professional Competencies

• Strong analytical thinking, numerical accuracy, and problem-solving ability.

• Fast learner with the ability to quickly absorb new concepts, rules, and processes.

• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with international colleagues and clients.

• High standard of discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive client financial information.

5. Personal Attributes

• Detail-oriented, well organized, and reliable in meeting deadlines.

• Proactive with a strong sense of ownership and responsibility.
