JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a Field Service Engineer responsible for supporting product deployment and driving solution innovation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Install, configure, and commission Datalogic equipment at customer sites according to specifications
  • Perform preventive maintenance within agreed timelines
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and replace equipment on-site
  • Provide training to customers on system usage and basic troubleshooting
  • Ensure compliance with safety and security procedures
  • Provide remote technical support (phone/remote access)
  • Escalate complex issues when necessary
  • Prepare accurate service and expense reports
  • Support pre-sales (technical assessment) and post-sales activities
  • Work closely with the sales team to propose suitable technical solutions
  • Support product demonstrations, trade shows, and technical presentations
  • Assist beta customers and provide frontline technical support
  • Coordinate with global technical teams to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Be available for regional travel when required

REQUIREMENTS

Education:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or equivalent experience

Languages:

  • Good command of English and local language

Experience:

  • At least 3 years of experience in Transportation & Logistics products or related applications

Technical Skills:

  • Understanding of identification (ID) products and demo capability
  • Knowledge of machine vision (preferred)
  • Familiarity with PC systems and industrial networking

  • Good mechanical aptitude
  • Strong communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills
  • Proactive and can-do attitude
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
  • Travel requirement: 60%
