Role Description
We are looking for a System Engineer specializing in VMware to join the operation and development of the virtualization infrastructure at FPT Telecom International's Data Center. Key responsibilities include:
- Operate, monitor, and optimize VMware virtualization infrastructure, including VMware vSphere, VMware Cloud Director, VMware vSAN, and related components (Storage, Network, vApp, VDC, etc.).
- Deploy, configure, and manage physical and virtual server environments in the Data Center.
- Monitor systems, analyze logs, and troubleshoot issues related to VMware, Storage, Network, and applications.
- Collaborate with software teams to deploy, upgrade, and optimize applications and services running on the virtualization platform.
- Build and continuously improve monitoring, alerting, and operational automation tools (scripting with Bash/Python, etc.).
- Participate in projects involving the design, implementation, and maintenance of infrastructure systems for enterprise customers.
- Research and propose technical solutions to enhance system performance, availability, and scalability.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Telecommunications, or an equivalent field.
- At least 1 year of experience as a System Engineer, Datacenter Engineer, or a similar role.
- Hands-on experience operating, monitoring, and troubleshooting VMware environments (vSphere/vCenter/vSAN).
- Strong knowledge and practical experience with Linux operating systems (CentOS/Ubuntu/RedHat) and Windows Server.
- Scripting skills in Bash, Python, or PHP.
- Basic knowledge of Networking (Cisco/Juniper) and Storage technologies (NAS/SAN/CEPH, etc.).
Advantages:
