Role Description The System Development Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Vietnam, responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of technology solutions that support safety and security-focused products and systems. This role oversees project planning, system architecture, and integration activities, ensuring that solutions meet performance, reliability, and compliance requirements. The System Development Manager coordinates cross-functional teams, manages development timelines and resources, and collaborates with stakeholders to define technical requirements and translate them into actionable work plans. Day-to-day responsibilities include supervising system developers and engineers, reviewing technical designs and documentation, monitoring system quality and testing outcomes, and driving continuous improvement in development processes and tools. The role also involves mentoring team members, aligning system development efforts with business goals, and contributing to long-term technology strategy.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in system development, including system architecture, design, integration, and testing for complex technology solutions.
- Strong project and people management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional engineering teams and manage schedules, resources, and priorities.
- Proficiency with software development lifecycle practices, configuration management, and quality assurance methodologies.
- Experience working with safety, security, or mission‑critical systems, and familiarity with relevant standards or regulatory requirements is highly beneficial.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with strong communication skills for collaborating across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work on-site in Vietnam and collaborate effectively in a multicultural, global organization.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- Experience in Motorola Solutions technology domains, telecommunications, public safety, or related industries is a plus.
