Job Description

Gene Solutions is an international biotechnology company based in Singapore, driving advancements in genetic testing and research innovation. By integrating Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) and Artificial Intelligence, the company offers a comprehensive portfolio of advanced solutions, including:

  1. Reproductive Health: Offering unique Non-invasive Prenatal Testing (NIPT) that integrates screening for recessive and dominant single-gene disorders.
  2. Clinical Oncology: Including multi-cancer early detection (MCED), comprehensive genomic profiling (CGP) for precision therapy selection, and minimal residual disease (MRD) tracking using circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) technology.

Established in 2017, Gene Solutions operates a network of 14 NGS laboratories, including two central CAP-accredited laboratories in Singapore and Vietnam. With over three million tests provided to patients, we remain committed to delivering accessible genetic testing services to more than 5,000 hospitals and clinics across Singapore, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, China, Hong Kong SAR, Taiwan, India, Turkey, Brazil, and USA.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1 Supply Planning

  • Develop supply plans based on sales forecast, demand plans, and inventory targets for Vietnam Lab and SEA lab
  • Calculate material or finished goods requirements using BOM (Bill of Materials).
  • Determine the optimal order quantity considering lead time, MOQ, and production capacity.

2 Inventory Management

  • Monitor daily inventory levels and analyze stock health to avoid shortages or excess.
  • Propose adjustments to supply plans in response to changes in demand or supply constraints.
  • Provide early warnings of potential stock-out or overstock situations.

3 Supply Execution & Tracking

  • Monitor supply fulfillment against PO commitments and coordinate with Procurement to ensure timely delivery and product availability
  • Manage issues such as delays, quantity discrepancies, and supply risks.

4 Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Lab, Procurement, WH and Finance to align supply plans with market needs.
  • Communicate supply risks, changes, and mitigation plans promptly.

5 Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare reports on inventory status, supply plans, service levels, and stock risks.
  • Analyze root causes of stock-out or overstock and recommend improvement actions.
  • Use data-driven insights to optimize planning accuracy and supply chain performance.

REQUIREMENTS

Experience: At least 3 years as a supply planner; experience working at companies or factories that use BOM (Bill of Materials).

Education background: Bachelor or above

Personality:

  • Assertive, willing to push: Not afraid to ask for information.
  • Not afraid of conflicts.
  • Persistent follow-up: No answer means not letting go.
  • Handles pressure well: Shortage, delays, or plan changes but still stays calm.
  • High ownership: Does not blame the system or other people.

Professional skills:

  • Strong understanding of:
  • Inventory, supply capability, stock-out timing, and inbound schedule.
  • Lead time impacts.
  • Tracking and follow-up.
  • Manual operations.
  • Early warning for shortage/excess.
  • Good Excel skills:
  • Pivot, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Index, Match.
  • English: Good communication skills; able to work with international markets.
