Job Overview
Responsible for sourcing and managing suppliers that meet quality and cost requirements, while overseeing procurement, bidding, and price negotiation activities. Also responsible for category planning, new SKU development, and supply planning based on market demand to optimize costs and operations, while monitoring market trends to support pricing and supply chain strategies.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the assigned product categories to meet business requirements, including cost efficiency, cost of goods sold (COGS), inventory days, product waste, and order fulfillment rate.
- Develop category assortment and pricing strategies to best serve customers across different regions.
- Ensure competitive pricing and a timely, sufficient supply of quality products based on business needs and management direction.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers while identifying and onboarding new suppliers that align with the company's long-term business objectives, securing favorable purchasing prices and payment terms.
- Negotiate with suppliers on contract terms, including pricing, payment conditions, delivery schedules, product quality, and resolve any supplier-related issues.
- Monitor and take full responsibility for procurement costs, product quality, and inventory levels of all assigned categories.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Finance & Accounting, Operations, and Delivery Coordination to ensure procurement activities align with operational needs and business objectives.
Team Management:
- Develop, implement, and monitor procurement and supply chain processes and procedures.
- Supervise, coach, and support team members in their daily responsibilities.
- Evaluate individual performance and competency, providing regular feedback and development plans.
Qualifications
- Experience managing Private Label and FMCG product categories.
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a hardworking and enthusiastic attitude.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Strong team player with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
