Job Description

Overview

The Supply Chain Planning Manager is responsible for leading end-to-end demand and supply planning processes, including S&OP, forecasting, production planning, and inventory management across the Vietnam network. This role ensures high forecast accuracy, optimal inventory levels, and strong service performance while supporting business growth through data-driven decision-making, cross-functional alignment, and continuous improvement initiatives.

The role also leads planning transformation, including SAP, ISCP, and planning tools implementation, process standardization, and capability development, to enhance planning maturity and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • S&OP & Demand Planning Management
  • Lead the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process to deliver one aligned forecast across functions
  • Develop and manage a 12-month rolling demand forecast at SKU, DC, and regional levels
  • Ensure forecast assumptions are validated using historical data, market insights, and commercial inputs
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Customer & Channel Development (CCD) to incorporate business activities into demand plans
  • Monitor and improve forecast accuracy, including root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Drive continuous improvement of demand planning processes, analytics, and tools
  • Supply Planning & Inventory Management
  • Lead Master Production Scheduling (MPS) to align supply plans with demand forecasts and capacity constraints
  • Oversee Material Requirements Planning (MRP) to ensure timely procurement of raw and packaging materials
  • Manage Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP) to ensure optimal stock allocation across DCs
  • Monitor key inventory KPIs (CVD, DII, OOS) and drive improvement actions
  • Ensure healthy inventory levels across finished goods, raw materials, and packaging materials
  • Minimize obsolete stock and write-off costs through effective planning and control
  • Network Planning & Performance Management
  • Manage planning activities across 2 plants, 1 co-manufacturer, and 4 distribution centers
  • Ensure alignment of supply and demand to meet service targets
  • Conduct capacity and gap analysis for mid- to long-term planning
  • Provide regular performance reporting on forecasting, inventory, and service KPIs
  • Support business decisions through scenario planning and data-driven insights
  • Transformation & System Implementation
  • Lead planning workstream for SAP, ISCP implementation, and system integration
  • Drive automation and digitalization of planning processes (e.g., Power BI reporting)
  • Standardize planning processes, roles, and ways of working
  • Improve data visibility, reporting accuracy, and planning efficiency
  • Stakeholder Management & Collaboration
  • Collaborate with Production, Logistics, Customer Service, Sales, Finance, and CCD teams
  • Lead cross-functional discussions to resolve supply-demand gaps and drive alignment
  • Present insights, risks, and action plans to senior stakeholders
  • Support financial planning and alignment with business targets
  • Team Leadership & Capability Development
  • Lead and develop the Supply & Demand Planning team
  • Set clear objectives, KPIs, and performance standards
  • Coach and build team capability in planning, analytics, and systems
  • Foster a high-performance, agile, and continuous improvement culture

Qualifications

Experience & Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or related fields
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in supply chain planning or related areas
  • At least 5 years in team leadership role, preferably in FMCG or manufacturing environment

Technical & Functional Skills

  • Strong expertise in Demand Planning, Supply Planning, and S&OP processes
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and Planning systems (ISCP)
  • Strong knowledge of MPS, MRP, DRP, and inventory management
  • Experience in system implementation and transformation projects
  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making capability
