A leading U.S.-based manufacturer and supplier of highquality hydraulic components used in highpressure fluid power systems.

Job Description

  • Daily Inspection & Quality Control

Develop and maintain a daily inspection plan aligned with production priorities and company requirements.

Perform dimensional inspections on finished products using calibrated gages

Conduct visual inspections of finished products according to documented company standards.

Conduct roaming inspections (dimensional and visual) of in-process products within the supplier's production area.

Participate in daily meetings with the supplier to review quality issues identified during inspections.

  • Supplier Engagement & Corrective Actions

Summarize daily inspection results and discuss findings with supplier teams.

Work with supplier to identify, document, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to avoid recurrence of issues.

Follow up to ensure corrective actions are effective and properly maintained.

  • Weekly & Ongoing Responsibilities

Collect and verify supplier production data, inspection results, and quality metrics.

Confirm completion and sustainability of agreed corrective actions.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the inspection area, gages, and associated equipment.

Review Purchase Orders (POs) to ensure compliance with company quality requirements and confirm supplier capability to meet specifications.

The Successful Applicant

  • Technical background in mechanical, manufacturing, or industrial engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • Hands-on experience with dimensional inspection and quality measurement tools.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and product quality requirements.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills for supplier collaboration.
  • Ability to work independently on-site and maintain high quality and documentation standards.
  • Experience in machining, metal components, or hydraulic/fluid power industry.
  • Familiarity with quality systems such as ISO 9001.
