Role Overview
The Supplier Development Manager is responsible for developing strategic partnerships with key semiconductor and IP&E suppliers, driving business growth, and strengthening the company's market position. This role acts as the primary interface between suppliers and internal teams to align strategies and maximize revenue opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic plans to expand partnerships with key semiconductor and IP&E suppliers
- Serve as the main liaison between suppliers and internal sales teams to drive growth across strategic accounts
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with principals and supplier partners
- Align with suppliers on business strategies, product promotion, and long-term growth plans within the Vietnam market
- Identify new business opportunities, emerging applications, and high-growth market segments such as Automotive, Industrial, Datacenter, AI, and Power
- Analyze market trends, pricing movements, supply-demand conditions, and competitive landscape to support strategic decision-making
- Drive design-in activities, project engagement, forecasting alignment, and mass production readiness
- Lead supplier development initiatives including business reviews, training sessions, workshops, and process improvements
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Product Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Engineering/FAE teams to ensure aligned execution
- Monitor supplier performance, pipeline progress, and overall business contribution while driving continuous improvement
- Provide regular business insights, reports, and strategic recommendations to management
- Support negotiation activities related to pricing, supply, contracts, and strategic projects
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards
Requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electronics, Business, or a related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of experience in semiconductor distribution, supplier management, or business development
- Proven experience working with global semiconductor principals or IP&E suppliers
- Prior experience in Vietnam or ASEAN market is highly preferred
Technical & Functional Skills
- Strong understanding of semiconductor ecosystem and supply chain dynamics
- Experience in strategic planning, supplier development, and partner management
- Ability to interpret market data, pricing trends, and supply-demand conditions
- Familiarity with product positioning, demand creation, and design-in activities
- Strong business acumen with experience in commercial negotiations and agreements
