What you will do
- Deliver the summer camp Kindergarten Scheme of Work
- Responsible for delivering high quality, well planned and structured summer camp kindergarten lessons
- Take responsibility for the health, well-being and happiness of campers
- Pre Plan lessons, adapt and give feedback about the activities to summer kindergarten coordinator
- Report to the site director and specialists
- Recognize and respond to opportunities for group problem solving
- Set a good example for campers in all areas, including cleanliness, punctuality, sportsmanship, and respect for each other as well as personal and school property
- Observe camper behavior, assess its appropriateness, enforce appropriate safety regulations and emergency procedures and apply appropriate behavior management techniques
- Communicate with parents about participant's experiences and meet/communicate regularly with Site Director regarding concerns, updates, challenges
- Assist in maintaining accurate programme records including incident reports, logbook documentation, and daily attendance
- Assist in completion of Summer Camp Student Journals
- Assist to facilitate and organize Kindy Workshops and Weekly Activities
- Assist in decorating and setting up Kindergarten classroom in accordance with theme
- Other duties as assigned by the Site Director from time to time
- Support with Kindergarten students summer fair practice & performance
- Participate in the Summer Fair Staff Performance
Your background and experience
General requirements
- University degree holder
- PGCE (or equivalent) or teaching license from your own country
- Demonstrated experience in working with children
- Ability to teach and lead various recreational activities
- Cheerful personality, team-oriented and adaptable
- Ability to communicate and work with a variety of age and skill levels
- Enthusiasm, sense of humor, patience and self-control
- Professional, adaptable, team-oriented, patient and enthusiastic
- Available for pre programme training June 20 & 21, 2024
- Available 7:00am-5:00pm, Monday Friday from June 24 through August 2, 2024. You may be required to stay beyond the standard working hours for staff meetings once a week and participate in the Summer Camp Fair Event on Saturday, 13 July 2024
