In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise, leadership and governance to a range of activities related to the Baker Hughes Control System install base within the Services APACI Region

As a Subsea Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Delivering technical maintenance and troubleshooting for subsea control systems across multiple assets
  • Supporting technical integration of control systems, including topsides installed (SPCU/EPU, MCS, Etc) and subsea (PCDM, SCM, Instrument sensors, etc)
  • Delivering the control topside & subsea equipment (SPCU, SCM, etc) refurbishment.
  • Monitoring and analysing subsea equipment performance for faults in the systems
  • Performing and support Life of Field (LOF) activities (hardware & software)
  • Defining Cost Time Resource (CTR) requirements for engineering planning and forecasting purposes
  • Increasing the region level of ownership and accountability over APACI project execution, generate more autonomy and regional capacity and capabilities.
  • Providing technical engineering support and leadership during business and non-business hours, including rota based 24-7 engineering on-call.


Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have at least Bachelor's in Mechanical / Mechatronics / Controls Engineering, or related discipline or an equivalent combination of qualifications and relevant experience.
  • Have a minimum 5 yr and above of engineering experience within the subsea industry or related service organisation.
  • Have field experience in subsea installations, troubleshooting and interventions
  • Require Service based Customer First mindset and good understanding of risk analysis and hazard mitigation
  • Sound knowledge of environmental, health and safety, and quality regulations within the oil and gas industry.
  • Have good communication skills, with an ability to communicate well in a multi-lingual/multi-cultural team environment
  • Be flexible to travel to remote locations for periods of time in field environment (5-28 days) as required
