To enable seamless collaboration between Styling & cross-functional teams, guiding the vehicle development process from early concept through to production. Ensures that the final product maintains the original design vision while meeting all functional, safety, and manufacturing requirements.
Main Duties
-
Lead technical support for CAS and A-Class surface development from concept to production release.
Drive alignment between design and engineering teams to ensure feasibility and timely delivery.
Assess engineering feasibility of design concepts.
Review and validate CAS/Class-A data for compliance with technical and manufacturing requirements.
Liaise with Engineering teams to ensure surfaces manufacturing requirement.
CFT alignment & Technical convergence:
Act as the main interface between external design studio (if not in-house) and engineering departments.
Coordinate with Eng, VA, Attribute, CAE, PQ, and CMF teams during design reviews.
Translate design intent into manufacture solutions while maintaining visual aesthetics.
Conduct convergence meetings with Chief Engineers and stakeholders.
Styling surface data check & release:
Ensure data accuracy, version control, and timely delivery via Teamcenter/PLM
Cross-check Implemented engineering proposal in the styling data & release.Hands-on experience working with engineering suppliers, tooling, or related fields.
35 years of progressive experience in automotive design, design operations, and mechanical design.
Strong ability to lead multidisciplinary design teams and manage the simultaneous delivery of multiple projects.
Solid background in studio engineering within styling-driven environments; prior experience as a Design Engineer is a strong advantage.
