Role Summary:

We are seeking a Structural Draftsperson with a strong foundation in structural and civil documentation to join a growing structural and civil engineering consultancy. The ideal candidate brings solid industry experience in a consulting environment, is confident working across REVIT and AutoCAD, and is excited to work collaboratively with designers, engineers, and stakeholders to deliver well-coordinated structural and civil drawings to a high standard.

Working Location: Home-based setup (Remote, Vietnam)

Work Schedule: 8AM - 5PM (AEST)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce structural and civil drawings using REVIT and AutoCAD across a range of multi-disciplinary projects
  • Coordinate with the internal team and all project stakeholders to maintain documentation standards aligned with current industry practices
  • Review all project conditions, correspondence, and client-supplied information to identify details that may affect the final design
  • Liaise with architects, surveyors, sub-consultants, councils, and government bodies to gather information required for project completion
  • Prepare detailed drawings in coordination with the Designer and Senior Draftsperson, and review check prints against all written and sketch instructions
  • Clarify briefing sketches and data directly with the designer to ensure accurate interpretation before proceeding
  • Manage the transfer, filing, and logging of drawings in accordance with company QC systems and Document Transmittal procedures
  • Ensure all client and consultant-supplied plans are filed correctly and transmittals are completed per company policy
  • Proactively identify anomalies, setout discrepancies, and framing issues during the documentation process
  • Liaise with associated authorities and consultants as directed by the responsible Project Manager

Must-Have:

  • Minimum 5 years of industry experience working in a structural or civil consulting environment
  • Proficient in REVIT and AutoCAD, including interfacing with other relevant software
  • Sound knowledge of Reinforced Concrete, Timber, Steel, Masonry, and related structural materials
  • Proven ability to produce documentation to a high standard and manage transmittals within a QC system
  • Strong understanding of construction practices and the ability to work autonomously to set project schedules

Nice-to-Have:

  • Demonstrates strong stakeholder communication - able to deliver clear, direct messages to clients and consultants
  • Comfortable working autonomously with minimal supervision while still meeting project deadlines
  • Strong time-management track record, especially juggling multiple concurrent project schedules
  • Broad exposure to construction practices beyond pure drafting (site sequencing, buildability, etc.)
