We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded HR Business Partner in Vietnam (Phu My) to partner closely with business leaders and employees to deliver people solutions that support business growth, organisational effectiveness, and employee engagement.

This role is responsible for leading the full spectrum of HR partnering activities across assigned business functions, acting as a trusted advisor to leaders while driving alignment between people strategy and business priorities. The role will work closely with HR Centres of Excellence (COEs) and regional stakeholders to deliver impactful, consistent, and high-quality HR solutions across the employee lifecycle.

What You Will Do

Business Partnership & Strategic HR Support

  • Partner with business leaders to understand business priorities, workforce challenges, and organisational needs.
  • Provide strategic HR counsel and practical people solutions that support business performance and transformation initiatives.
  • Support leaders in driving organisation effectiveness, workforce planning, succession planning, and talent management activities.
  • Guide and influence managers on organisational design, leadership capability, employee engagement, and team effectiveness.

Talent & Performance Management

  • Facilitate talent review discussions and follow-through actions across the business.
  • Partner with leaders to identify key talent, critical capability gaps, and development opportunities.
  • Support performance management processes including goal setting, coaching, performance improvement, recognition, and employee development.
  • Drive quality hiring practices and partner with Talent Acquisition on strategic and priority hiring.

Employee Relations & Organizational Health

  • Foster positive employee relations through active engagement, workforce sensing, and organisational health monitoring.
  • Provide advice and guidance to managers and employees on employee relations matters, performance concerns, disciplinary actions, and workplace issues.
  • Support the resolution of complex people matters with professionalism, fairness, and compliance with local labour legislation.

HR Operations & Program Delivery

  • Execute HR programs, initiatives, and standards-based activities across the employee lifecycle.
  • Collaborate closely with HR COEs to ensure consistent and effective delivery of HR solutions and processes.
  • Use people data, workforce insights, and HR metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities that support business decision-making.
  • Design and implement HR initiatives and projects that address business and organisational challenges.

Culture & Leadership

  • Act as a steward of NS BlueScope's values, culture, and people practices.
  • Promote an inclusive, respectful, and high-performing workplace environment aligned with BlueScope's leadership expectations and behaviours.
  • Support change management and business transformation initiatives across the organisation.

What You Will Need

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 8-10 years of progressive HR experience within a generalist or HR business partnering environment.
  • Strong understanding of HR practices, employment legislation, and employee relations within Vietnam.
  • Proven experience partnering with leaders in operational or manufacturing environments is highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated capability in talent management, organisation development, workforce planning, and performance management.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to work both strategically and operationally in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability with experience using HR data and insights to support decision-making.
  • Experience leading or supporting HR projects and change initiatives.
