How will you make a difference
We expect that our Store Managers help deliver a memorable retail experience by:
- Driving Business Performance:
- Lead in maximizing sales and profitability through the effective management of store operations and excellent customer service.
- Show strong commercial awareness and implement initiatives to drive sales performance. Understand local market trends, analyze customer profiles, buying trends, and competition and communicate this information to line manager.
- Understand and improve store performance by analysis of reports and KPIs - conversion rate, units per transaction (UPT), average transaction value (ATV), and product performance Sell-thru and Rate of Sale
- To monitor all shop overheads i.e. electricity, stationery etc. ensuring budgets are adhered to in order to maximize shop profitability.
- Delivering Exceptional Customer Experiences:
- Give clear direction, advice, support and guidance to staff, focusing on the delivery of the required standards of customer service and sales.
- Oversee all shop administration ensuring all head office instructions are actioned and staff fully advised of product changes and developments as necessary. To implement any promotional or training initiatives as required.
- Maintaining Operational Excellence:
- Give clear direction, advice, support and guidance to staff on the delivery of the required standards of merchandising, presentation and promotional activity
- Ensure operational excellence is achieved in the back of house areas and that the store achieves compliance with ASICS Policy & Procedure, operational core competencies, key accountabilities and legal standards.
- Directly responsible for Loss Prevention and Operational compliance within store.
- Achieve or exceed all Inventory and Shrink goals; oversee and manage Physical Inventory counts.
- Ensure execution and maintenance of all Visual Guidelines as well as guaranteeing the visual presentation of the Store always meets or exceeds ASICS standards.
- Leading, Motivating, and Developing the Team:
- Build and nurture a strong team culture, leading by example to inspire and motivate team members.
- Coach, mentor, and develop team members to achieve sales goals and deliver exceptional customer service.
- Minimize staff turnover by practicing the retention skills necessary to build a high performing team that operates effectively within a motivating store climate
- Drive a culture of appreciation, collaboration, and achievement to support team success.
- Prepare and administer timely and accurate performance appraisals for each member of the store team.
- Ad-Hoc Tasks:
- Perform tasks related to sales planning, inventory management, store operations, staff management, and customer service as assigned by the Retail Ops Manager
What makes you the perfect Store Manager
- You have four to six years of retail experience in a focused, customer service oriented retail environment (preferably apparel/footwear) with results driven track record
- Within the above timeframe, you possess two to three years of supervisory experience
- You possess the ability to identify, hire, train, develop your team
- You had demonstrated the ability to reason through complex issues.
- You possess the ability to present information to large groups and facilitate store visits
