Mission
As a Staff Engineer, you will lead the technical direction and architectural design across RAKSUL group businesses, with a focus on technical due diligence, post-merger integration, and legacy system modernization. Your scope includes modernizing systems, embedding the Technology Life Cycle throughout the software development lifecycle, and integrating with RAKSUL's core platforms—including identity, payments, and data analytics. You will engage closely with stakeholders across internal teams and group companies, providing practical approaches and technical guidance. This role offers a clear career path toward Principal Engineer or Senior Architect, where you will strategically lead technical initiatives across multiple businesses.
Key responsibilities
- Lead technical due diligence (DD) for M&A target companies, assessing tech stack, infrastructure, security posture, SDLC maturity, and engineering organization to surface integration risks and effort estimates ahead of deal close.
- Define technical PMI goals, target architecture, and success metrics based on DD findings, aligned with RAKSUL group's platform strategy (identity, payments, data analytics).
- Partner with the PMO to translate DD outputs into an executable PMI roadmap before the PMI phase begins, so the team can mobilize from Day 1 of integration.
- Design architecture and integration approaches for post-merger products and legacy systems across RAKSUL group businesses.
- Break down high-level technical and architectural concepts into tangible approaches for team members and stakeholders.
- Modernize systems across DevOps, SRE, and cloud infrastructure.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across group businesses to provide technical guidance and mentorship.
- Deliver hands-on technical solutions through design reviews, code reviews, and troubleshooting.
- Partner with the Principal Engineer and PMO to plan and execute the Technology Life Cycle.
- Establish and enhance highly productive and reproducible SDLC and AI-DLC
Your skills & experiences
Basic Qualifications:
- 8+ years of software development experience using multiple frameworks such as Spring Boot, Gin, Ruby on Rails, Laravel, etc.
- 3+ years of architect or tech lead experience integrating three or more services in modern web technology.
- Strong experience in relational database design and migration using MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- Experience in AI native development process such as SDD.
- Hands-on experience operating cloud platforms and development tools, including AWS or GCP .
- Solid understanding of security design and implementation across application and infrastructure layers.
- Experience designing unit and E2E test strategies and implementing them.
- Designing and hands-on experience building and operating CI/CD workflows using tools such as GitHub Actions, Code Pipeline, etc.
- Business-level English communication skills, with experience working in cross-functional and multi-regional teams.
